My sweet friend, Charlotte DeSmith, went home to be with the Lord this afternoon. She was such a precious woman. What makes me the saddest is that I only knew her for such a short time. Her testimony of grace, love, and compassion were displayed even when she was so near death. She has made me keenly aware of the brevity of life-and the importance of friends. Her friends surrounded her and her husband from the beginning and never left their side...I WANT THAT. Her faith in the Lord was amazing~and now she gets to sit at HIS feet! Mrs. Charlotte, I love you and I am going to miss you terribly....
